Description
Francesco Iandolo's Colli Tortonesi Timorasso Derthona is a Piedmontese white wine made from the native Timorasso white grape, grown in the Ca' dell'Aglio vineyard in the municipality of Brignano-Frascata, at an altitude of 350 meters above sea level. The Timorasso grapes are harvested by hand in the second half of September. The grapes are gently pressed, clarified, and then vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine then ages for 12 months on its lees, also in stainless steel tanks. Straw yellow in color with golden highlights, the nose expresses aromas of pineapple, lemon, flint, and aromatic herbs. The palate is energetic and enveloping, medium-bodied, and persistent. It pairs beautifully with seafood spaghetti, legume soups, fried white meats, and roasted fish.
