Franchetto's Pinot Grigio vineyards are located in Vestenanova, at 500 meters above sea level. Here, the vines sink their roots into soil that 45 million years ago was the bed of a tropical sea, and today yields, in addition to highly prized grapes, important marine fossils—such as the Angelfish depicted on the label. Giulia calls it her "mountain Pinot Grigio." Here, the microclimate and terroir, interpreted by a great winemaker like Antonio, give rise to a wine that exhibits great refinement and harmony, fragrance and freshness, with a distinctive minerality.
