Fantini Farnese's Cinque Autoctoni is produced in vineyards located in the Abruzzo municipalities of Notaresco and Ortona and the Apulian municipalities of Sava and Manduria. It is made from a masterful blend of Montepulciano, Primitivo, Sangiovese, Negroamaro, and Malvasia Nera grapes, native to Abruzzo and Puglia, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place, with maceration on the skins, in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for 25 days. After malolactic fermentation in barriques, the wine ages for 13 months in the same tanks before bottling.
