Cannonau is a typical Sardinian grape that here in Usini takes on unique sensory nuances found in this Cannonau di Sardegna DOC, a warm and full-bodied wine that pairs well with game dishes, roasts, and aged cheeses. The color is ruby with purple highlights. Medium intensity and persistence, the bouquet is broad and complex, with hints of ripe fruit, jammy notes and blackberry, and more delicate notes of quince and plum. Dry and savory, well-structured, full-bodied, and with a good depth of flavor. Balanced acidity and a subtle tannic sensation are evident. Good persistence on the palate and nose, with a pleasant finish. This wine has good aging potential.
