Picolit
Description
Picolit is a grape variety that is extremely stingy in yields per vine, characterized by small bunches and very few berries. But it is a wine, Picolit del Collio, that represents the pinnacle of Italian winemaking. Left to macerate for ten months in oak barriques, then aged for approximately two years in wooden barrels, the Picolit labeled "Muzic" is the product of a drying process that lasts at least a month. On the palate, we find a sweet and harmonious Picolit, balanced and extremely pleasant. It's perfect with dry pastries or blue or sharp cheeses, but it's also wonderful simply on its own.
