Description

This 2016 Langhe Nebbiolo DOC "Starda" from the Paitin winery is produced with grapes grown in the vineyard of the same name, located near the town of Neive. Fermentation and maceration take place in vertical tanks for 30 to 35 days, using the traditional Piedmontese "submerged cap" technique. It is then aged in large Slavonian oak barrels for 12 months. Dark, burnt earth, licorice, smoky, and menthol aromas give this wine a meditative style and a virile, muscular personality.
