This Blanc de Blancs is part of Piper-Heidsieck's Essentiel collection, crafted from the house's finest crus. Made from 100% Chardonnay with a 35% blend of reserve wines, this Blanc de Blancs is intended for extended aging, in keeping with Piper-Heidsieck's production philosophy, and is Extra Brut in dosage. It displays a straw yellow color with bright greenish highlights. The perlage is delicate and persistent. The nose is pervaded by floral notes of hawthorn, followed by almond, lemon zest, and brioche. On the palate, it is fresh and sensual, with a good body, featuring hints of Mirabelle plum, pear, and black pepper, complemented by elegant iodine notes. An excellent aperitif, it pairs divinely with gourmet cuisine.
