Description

The Barbera d'Alba Superiore from Casa E. di Mirafiore is produced in vineyards located in the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba, in the province of Cuneo. It is made with 100% Barbera grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats for 12-15 days. The wine then ages for 12 months in oak barrels and for a further 6 months in bottle before being released for sale. The Barbera d'Alba Superiore from Casa E. di Mirafiore is garnet red in color with purple highlights. On the nose, it opens with intense aromas of leather, licorice, and coffee, enriched with elegant notes of blackberry. On the palate, it is full-bodied and refreshing, with a long, savory finish. Perfect with savory first courses and red meats, this red wine is ideal with fresh, medium- or well-aged cheeses.
